You know, Eric, it’s funny. Back in 2004, I remember when travelling with a Blackberry was an exercise in frustration. It took them a while to work out all the technology & service provider kinks.

My bet is that Apple has this worked out within the next twelve months. Like I said, I think the Blackberry is still superior in at least 20% of use cases, but their trajectory is extremely poor compared to Apple’s.

We’ll see. You can use whatever you want as long as you come by to visit sometimes.

Adam – I love my iPhone, but I hate its international support. It is both unusable and cost-prohibitive, and I have sat side-by-side with BB users on AT&T and watched as emails flew into their device while mine sat spinning idly. Plus, 50MB a month for $70 (or whatever it is, internationally) is really not enough for pulling down full RTF emails, uncompressed.

I much prefer the iPhone when I’m in the states, but if my travel schedule picks up again, I will get a Blackberry to use while I am abroad.

Glad to hear you are really enjoying your iPhone 3g … cause I get mine in under a week (hopefully!)
I kind of wish there were more features though – I heard Apple is probably going to pack many features into iPhone G3! I just can’t wait for that though.
