The John Adams coins are worth only a Dollar period.
I went to a coin shop today who had a stack of them, they are worth only a dollar.

I was told that the john Adams coin has now been released but for the john adams collectors, this is quite exciting news that the new john adams gold coin is worth from $3,000 to $5,000. Yeah thats right in 2016 the price will even go more up. You can see the info on aboutcoins.com/johnadams.sg

I think you’re right, although one of the things I am wondering about is whether or not the popular presidents will actually lead to popular coins. Maybe, it really depends on how many the US Mint produces in 2009. With the state quarters, the production has been tied to money supply – not to popularity. That’s why we have 1.2 Billion Delaware quarters and only 450 Million California quarters.

Personally, I’m most excited about the dollar coins for the Presidents that no one knows… well, I’m also definitely going to stock up on JFK and Reagan dollars. And how about that Jackie Kennedy gold First Spouse coin?

I’m betting the Lincoln dollar will attract the most attention. By the time it’s issued, lots of people will know about this series. And with the bicentennial of his birth coming in 2009, there’s bound to be a spike in interest in the already-popular president.

All of the Presidential dollars are the same size. With all due respect, the days of the Susan B. Anthony dollar are long over, and the current dollar coins feel and look significantly different than quarters.

I don’t think that this is the reason the dollar coin has been unsuccessful. If they want the dollar coin to succeed, they should stop printing the dollar bill. Done.

I have tried the last few minutes to find out what size the new John Adams coin is. My comment on the dollar coins in general is, while they may be of interest to collectors, they will never catch on for daily use as long as they remain the size of a quarter. Why can’t the Mint use good sense and produce a practical dollar coin like the Looney in Canada? If the John Adams coin is larger, accept my apology.
